Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Neurosomatic Therapy, and Fees FAQs

What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture is the gentle insertion of sterile needles on the therapeutic points of the body.

How many acupuncture sessions will I need?

It depends on how acute or chronic the conditions are.  We recommend the detailed treatment plan based on the full consultation on the first visit.

Does acupuncture hurt?

No. You may feel the needles going in if you are very sensitive. Acupuncture needles are very thin and you may not feel anything after the needles are placed.

How can chiropractic help me?

At Zen Healing Center, we focus on looking for the cause of the problem and not the problem alone. We help patients in pain and also those who would like to focus on their path to wellness. Most often people will see a chiropractor for acute or chronic issues, including headaches, sciatica, neck pain, improper function of the nervous system that may result from car accidents, sports injuries, heredity and a variety of causes.

Does the chiropractor provide any type of evaluation before adjusting my spine?

Absolutely! Before our chiropractor performs an adjustment, he will look over your medical history, perform a spinal thermography, sEMG or HRV, take x-rays (if you do not have one), and review any medical exams that you may have had. The adjustments are very specific. Sometimes, you may be adjusted at one location but no more than three.

What happens in the first Neurosomatic Therapy appointment?

We do an exam, measurements and treatment. We also can review any and all past MRI's, X-rays or CAT scans. Having the films would be very helpful, but if you can only get the report that is helpful too; the more information we have the better.

What are your choices when having pain and starting Neurosomatic Therapy?

You can either mask that signal with body-altering drugs OR you can treat the source of the pain. Neurosomatic Therapy specializes in identifying the source of your pain by utilizing the most up-to-date non-invasive treatment available. Our staff will identify the problem and develop a protocol to not only eliminate the pain but prevent future occurrence.
